India's solar revolution is built by thousands of people who work in the field every day. Saur Samman is a recognition programme for the installers, entrepreneurs, community leaders, bank officers and DISCOM officials making energy independence a reality.
What Is Saur Samman?
Solar adoption is not driven by technology alone. It moves forward when an entrepreneur creates access, a promoter builds trust, an installer works with care, a banking professional enables finance, a DISCOM official helps resolve a meter issue and a community champion makes reliable information reach more people.
Saur Samman recognises these often-unseen contributions. It is a platform to celebrate credible work, share learning and strengthen the local ecosystem supporting India's rooftop-solar journey.
Why Saur Samman
An installer who completes three rooftops a day, a DISCOM officer who processes net metering in 48 hours, a bank manager who approved 50 solar loans — their work powers communities. Saur Samman makes it visible.
Saur Samman recognises the full ecosystem — entrepreneurs, installers, financers, government officials and community champions. The solar revolution is not built by one person; it is built by everyone.
India's solar adoption is a local story. Saur Samman goes to the districts to recognise the people building the revolution where it actually lives.
How It Works
We reach the ecosystem — installers, banks, DISCOMs and community leaders — and invite nominations.
Anyone can nominate a deserving individual, or individuals can apply directly with their evidence.
An independent jury evaluates applications on impact, intent, evidence and ecosystem contribution.
A full-day event with masterclasses, panel discussions and an award ceremony — all in the district.
Winners receive trophies, citations, state-level recognition and ongoing visibility through Pragya Power.
